We are an International Horror Genre Film Festival. Movies submitted must have some sort of horror elements to be considered for our program. We also accept Sci-Fi films as long as they have horror elements as well. We accept documentaries, comedies, experimental, animation, dramas, etc. as long as they are in the horror genre. (*we do not accept any Fan Films.)

Programming decisions are made by a professional selection committee comprised of working industry professionals. If chosen to screen, you will be notified before September 11, 2017.

2017 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Foreign language films MUST be dubbed or subtitled in English or the film will not be accepted. We do not accept “Works In Progress”.

ENTRY FEES:

  • Entry Fees are non-refundable. (*we do not waive Entry Fees)

FINAL SCREENING FORMAT:

  • DCP (Digital Cinema Package) for D-Cinema Projectors – Please make sure the DCP file is professionally made and theatrically tested before submitting.
  • QuickTime Digital file: H264 Mp4 – We would like files under 5 Gigs. If accepted, we would need you to mail us the file via thumb drive.

USAGE RIGHTS:

  • All entries selected grant the Festival the right to use audio, video, and still images for promotional materials. The Festival will request artwork or promotional material for use on the website once the film is accepted to screen.

ACCEPTED FILMS:

  • Filmmakers that are accepted into the festival will receive 2 weekend Passes into the festival.
  • Films selected to screen at the festival will get their own web page on our website with picture and video capabilities.
  • Fans can discuss your film on your page, “like” your film via Facebook, and help spread the word via twitter.

STUDENT SHORT FILMS:

  • This is a new category and for student made short films with run times between 1 minute to 20 minutes.
  • No films will be accepted if they are over 20 minutes.
  • To be considered a student film the filmmaker must be enrolled in school or college.
  • Category is also open to student filmmakers under the age of 18 only with parental consent.

REGULAR DEADLINE –  April 14, 2017

LATE DEADLINE –  July 28, 2017

FINAL DEADLINE –  August 25, 2017

(*Entry does not guarantee placement in the program. However, each submission will be carefully considered. Festival judges will pre-select entries that will be featured as finalists at the festival. Finalists will then be judged by category and the winners will be announced during the awards presentation at the completion of the festival.)
