A Short Screenplay Competition will be a new category added to the 2021 edition of the FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival. Screenplay writers can now show off their writing skills in the short screenplay format.
We want to encourage filmmakers to write and learn story structures. What better way to learn than with a short screenplay competition. You can tell very intriguing stories in a short amount of time and maybe this will spark an idea for a feature-length movie.
The rules for the competition are simple. Use screenplay format. It must be in the horror genre. No more than 30 pages in length and it must be un-produced. A beginning, a middle, and an end. Scare us. Thrill us. Let your imagination run wild!
