Extended Deadline for entries is June 21, 2021 which includes all film submissions and screenplays. If you miss this deadline we still have one more deadline before we stop taking submissions for the 2021 event.
If you are not familiar with the FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival, we are proud to be celebrating our 16th big year! Yes, we are getting old. But we can still scare you with the best independent horror films from around the world.
We are also proud of the fact that for the last 2 years, the JURY AWARD Winners (which is the BEST IN SHOW AWARD) have gone on to be featured on horror movie platform SHUDDER! Those films include 2019 Jury Award Winner ‘FINGERS’ and the 2020 Jury Award Winner ‘CAVEAT’. Who knows, your film could be next!
We also have a brand NEW Short Screenplay contest for all you screenwriters out there. We wanted to showcase the most important part of any film, the screenplay. We hope this encourages screenwriters to keep writing and improving their work.
We are really looking forward to seeing all of you horror fans and filmmakers again as in-person events continue to open up. Plus we are really looking forward to celebrating HALLOWEEN with you in the best possible way. Watching green independent horror films!
