Calling all horror FREAKS, filmmakers, and storytellers! The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival announces its final call for entries. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit their unique and chilling tales by August 28, 2023.
The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival has solidified its standing as a premier platform for the horror genre. It provides an excellent opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their feature films, short films, and even short screenplays. This is a unique chance to let your creative voice be heard in a forum that reveres and celebrates horror in all its terrifying forms.
Robert Massetti, Director of the festival, commented, “Every year, we are astounded by the innovation and creativity we witness in the submissions. Horror is not just about fear; it’s about storytelling, evoking emotions, and pushing boundaries. Submission Guidelines:
- Feature Films – Films must be of the horror genre and should be no longer than 120 minutes in length.
- Short Films – Films must be of the horror genre and should not exceed 40 minutes.
- Short Screenplays – Screenplays must be of the horror genre and should not exceed 40 pages.
All entries must be original works and should adhere to the standards of the horror genre. Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, storytelling, and technical excellence.
Selected films and screenplays will gain exposure to a broad audience of film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and potential collaborators. Award categories range from ‘Best Feature’ and ‘Best Short Film’ to ‘Best Short Screenplay.
