ORLANDO, FL – The 14th Annual FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival announced the first FREAKY Films for its 2019 program. With Feature and Short films representing filmmakers as far as the Philippines, to local films shot right here in the SunShine State. The program includes deep psychological horror, to laugh out loud dark comedies. All set in a brand new, state of the art theater with reclining luxury lounge seats and the latest Dolby Sound Sound. A horror lovers dream come true!
Opening Night Film:
FINALE | Denmark | Feature | Director: Soren Juul Petersen – It is quiet throughout the country. Everybody is glued to the TV watching the finals. Not a single soul is seen in the streets. On the outskirts of Denmark however, a small gas station still needs to be manned. And on this particular evening, two very different young women are on duty. Agnes, a snobbish college student, is trying to work on her thesis, while naïve Belinda is texting away trying to get the attention of her boyfriend. Unfortunately, the shift is not going to be as uneventful as they think, because no customers also means no witnesses. Screening Friday October 25, 2019 at 7pm.
SILHOUETTE | USA | Feature | Director: Mitch McLeod – Silhouette is the story of Jack and Amanda Harms who, after the passing of their young daughter, set out into seclusion to begin their lives anew. Quickly upon their arrival, things go awry when the sins of their past come back to haunt them. Screening Friday October 25, 2019 at 9:30pm.
ARTIK | USA | Feature | Director: Tom Botchii – A comic book obsessed serial killer’s sinister plan to train his son to be his replacement is interrupted when the young boy lures a well-meaning stranger, Holton, back to their secluded farm threatening to expose their families terrifying secret. Screening Saturday October 26, 2019 at 1pm.
FINGERS | USA | Feature | Director Juan Ortiz – Amanda has a finger-phobia and an abject loathing of all human strangeness. So she decides to read and take pointers from a recommended self-help book, Dr. Scotty’s ‘Follow Me: I Know The Way’. Meanwhile two hit men are hired by the mysterious Fox (Michael St. Michaels from GREASY) to cut the fingers off the mild, mannered Talky Panda to satisfy his lust for revenge. How they connect causes shocks to the system and the need to kill their fears. Screening Saturday October 26, 2019 at 3:30pm.
