Sunday October 10, 2010 was a huge day for the FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival as it honored legendary horror director JOHN CARPENTER with it’s Lifetime Achievement Freaky Award. A four minute video presentation of John Carpenter’s work was shown before the award was presented to Mr. Carpenter.
As Mr. Carpenter rose to receive his award, a thunderous applause was heard as all in attendance rose and gave Mr. Carpenter a standing ovation.
Mr. Carpenter showed off his FREAKY Award and gave a brief acceptance speech to the enthusiastic crowd.
“It was a real honor to meet Mr. Carpenter”, said festival director Robert J. Massetti “It’s not everyday you get to meet your idol in person.”
Thank you to all the filmmakers that attended the 2010 FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival and a special thank you to the legend himself Mr. John Carpenter.
